Off Season Vacation at Kiva Dunes
If your ideal beach vacation is a time of recharging, finishing a good read, relaxing on an uncrowded beach, and just an overall slower pace – Then the Off Season is for You!
There are more pros than cons when it come to staying at Kiva Dunes in Gulf Shores, Alabama during the off-season months. Everybody loves a summer holiday, but sometimes, traveling amid the peak tourist season can be a bit much – the places you want to stay are more expensive, traffic jams and the attractions you want to visit are mobbed with tourists. In the off-season, you don’t have to worry about any of those downsides. Most Gulf Shores attractions and restaurants stay open all year with shorter hours in the winter months, although some amenities may be closed. For instance, Kiva Grill is open all year, but Kiva Beach Club’s season is March 1 – November 30, and closes December – February. Many travelers don’t mind the trade in order to have the island all to themselves.

Guests will be greeted with mild winters and less rainy days than the summer peak-season months. Although October is considered the shoulder season and late November the beginning of the off-season, the island is already at a slower pace.

SUMMING UP THE SEASONS
Rather than a beach overflowing with crowds with full condominiums, guests at Kiva can enjoy over 3,000 feet of private beach access – one of the resort’s most appealing amenities. Island life slows down when the days become shorter, which can be the ideal vacation for some. Kiva Dunes guests can experience mild weather through December and see the early signs of Spring with azalea blooms peaking in late February. Vacation Rentals, Golf and attractions can have savings of 20 – 45% in the shoulder and off-season. All of Gulf Shores attractions and amenities are still open in the shoulder season. During the off-season, it depends on a guest’s preference of the type of vacation they want; fast paced with tons of activities or taking it easy by soaking up the scenery.
